For the Life of the World: Letters to the Exiles
For the Life of the World: Letters to the Exiles explores how we, as followers of Jesus Christ, are to engage our world. God’s Word tells us we are exiles, strangers, and pilgrims on the earth (1 Peter 1:1-9). Our calling is to a better country, an eternal dwelling. And yet, our calling is also for the life of the world. That means God isn’t calling us to a bunker mentality (fortification). He also isn’t calling us to dominate the culture around us (domination) or to simply blend in to get along (accommodation). But how exactly are we supposed to engage the world? How are we supposed to be in the world but not of the world? (John 17:14-18) Special guests will be “Saints on the Frontlines,” panelists from our congregation who will help us on this journey. Paul Wilson will lead this class (paulwilson4872@gmail.com). Please bring your Bible.
